Chapter Nine

Taya shivered as Bronx opened the door for her. His possessiveness had all her girly parts standing up saying hallelujah. The concept had always made her roll her eyes in the past when she’d seen women at Iron Wolves simper around their mates, allowing them to order them around. “Hey, what’s wrong?” Bronx asked as he pulled into the backlot behind Chaps.

“Don’t worry. We’re here a little early to help set-up for tonight. You any good at math?”

His question had her raising her brows. “Um, yeah. Why?”

“You can hold the clipboard and mark down how many bottles and how much liquor we have. Then you can order the others on what to bring in.” His grin was positively wicked.

“Oh, who are we getting back at?”

He brought her hand to his lips. “Jett, the fucker. He’s been too busy wooing his mate and playing rock star, now he gets to play go fetch.”

“Rock star?” It was hard to concentrate with his tongue licking between her fingers. Who knew that would be an erogenous zone?

“Mmm, yep. Let’s go, or we’re liable to get arrested.” He let go of her hand, popping open his door. His nostrils flared, and then he turned to her. “Come on, blue, slide across the seat. I have a need to hold you a minute.”

Damn, the man and his sexy wolf ass. She climbed over the console knowing there was probably a way to do it that wasn’t clumsy, but she had no clue how, only wanting to feel his big arms around her. Within seconds she was in the driver’s seat, Bronx quickly stepped between her thighs and wrapped his arms around her. “Don’t go anywhere alone outside the bar, feel me?”

She buried her face between his neck and shoulder, wishing she could bite down and claim him there. She let her teeth scrape the flesh, feeling him shudder against her. “I feel you.”
